Week of Interfaith Harmony and Human Fraternity at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan
In accordance with the United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/65/5 (October 20, 2010), the first week of February is recognized as "World Interfaith Harmony Week".
To commemorate this significant date, the UNESCO Chair in Comparative Study of World Religions at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan has organized a series of scientific, cultural, educational, and sports events from February 4 to 8, 2025, under the theme: "Human Fraternity and Interfaith Dialogue – A Factor of International Solidarity."
Currently, the International Scientific and Practical Seminar on "Human Fraternity and Interfaith Dialogue – A Factor of International Solidarity" has begun as part of this week-long event.
The seminar gathers representatives from the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, distinguished academics, representatives of various religious communities in the country, as well as professors and students of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.
This initiative aims to foster interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and academic discourse on religious tolerance and human fraternity. Stay tuned for more updates!
Join the movement and contribute to a world of peace, unity, and understanding!
