“Human Fraternaty and Interfaith Dialogue – A Factor for Peace and Stability”: “Interfaith Friendship Tour” Held in Bukhara Region

On February 5, 2026, as part of the week of scientific and cultural-educational events under the motto “Human Fraternaty and Interfaith Dialogue – A Factor for Peace and Stability”, an excursion titled “Interfaith Friendship Tour” was organized in the Bukhara region. The event was carried out with the support of the Bukhara Regional Department of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The excursion was attended by faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduates of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of various religious communities in Bukhara. In particular, the tour included visits to the Bukhara Jewish community, the Orthodox Church, and the Baháʼí community places of worship.

In addition, during the excursion, the 4th meeting of the Interfaith Dialogue Club, initiated and actively conducted by the Academy’s students, was also held. The participants discussed key issues related to interfaith dialogue, social cooperation, and the promotion of peace.

The “Interfaith Friendship Tour” was highly appreciated as a significant initiative contributing to the development of religious and cultural tourism in Bukhara, as well as fostering patience, tolerance, and a spirit of mutual understanding among youth.
