The Interfaith Solidarity Games: Promoting Unity Through Sports February 8, 2025. 

International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan As part of The World Interfaith Harmony Week, the UNESCO Chair in Comparative Study of World Religions at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan will host The Interfaith Solidarity Games on February 8, 2025. 

This exciting event will bring together students from the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Tashkent Islamic Institute, and Tashkent Orthodox and Protestant seminaries to participate in friendly sports competitions, fostering teamwork, respect, and interfaith harmony. 

Event Highlights: 

Friendly Sports Competitions:

Participants will compete in: 

Chess;

Checkers; 

Table Tennis; 

Football. 

These games encourage camaraderie and mutual respect through healthy competition. 

Interfaith Interaction: 

Beyond competition, this event creates a welcoming environment where students from diverse religious backgrounds engage as teammates and friends, strengthening understanding and cooperation. 

Awards & Recognition: Outstanding participants and teams will be recognized for their sportsmanship, teamwork, and contributions to unity through sports.  

Closing Ceremony: Following the competitions, a closing ceremony will mark the culmination of The World Interfaith Harmony Week, featuring award presentations for The Interfaith Solidarity Games, Creative Competition, and Cultural Performances. This will serve as a celebration of all participants and their dedication to promoting unity, compassion, and dialogue.
