A woman scientist is a mirror of society

In accordance with the resolution "Science, Technology and Innovation for Development" adopted by the UN General Assembly at its 70th session in December 2015, February 11 was declared International Women's Day in Science.

Every year, in connection with this date, various events and educational meetings are held in order to create equal opportunities for women and girls to fully use science, as well as to expand the rights of women.

For this purpose, a roundtable discussion was held at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan on the topic "Woman Scholar - Mirror of Society".

Uygun Gafurov, rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, opened the event organized by the Women's Advisory Council with an introduction. In his short speech, the Rector of the Academy acknowledged that significant work is being done in recent years in our country to involve women in scientific activities, to support their program development and innovative ideas.

At the event, Dr. Dilafroz Qurbanova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of the National Institute of Art and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod, Doctor of History, gave a speech on the topic "A woman scientist is a mirror of society."

At the event, the conditions created for the education of women in our country, the role of women scientists in the development of science, their achievements and results were discussed.
