Meeting with the Chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding

A delegation led by the chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding Muhammad Nur Manuti visited the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

The guests were welcomed by the rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Uygun Gafurov, vice-rectors of the Academy – Ilyas Mirziyotov, Zohidjon Islamov, Zakirjon Ruziyev, rector’s advisor Utkir Hasanboyev, head of the International Cooperation Department Bahadir Khojayev and Jamoliddin Karimov, director of Imam Moturidi International Scientific Research Center.

At the meeting, the representatives of the Academy expressed their gratitude to see the distinguished guests in our country, especially in the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. They wished the members of the delegation success in their work.

The Rector of the Academy spoke about the changes and reforms being carried out in the religious and educational sphere in our country. In particular, the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan is carrying out systematic work in the preparation of high-potential, competitive specialists who will make a worthy contribution to world civilization by conducting fundamental research of the sacred religion of Islam from a scientific point of view and rediscovering the spiritual heritage of our great scholars. was recognized.

During the meeting, they discussed the issues of studying the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the republic, further development of cooperation between research and higher education institutions of the two countries.

In the dialogue, it was noted that the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan is important among other religious and educational institutions in comprehensively studying the rich historical, scientific, and spiritual heritage of Islamic science and culture, in deeply revealing the humanitarian nature of Islam.

Muhammad Nur Manuti, the chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding, said that Uzbek scientists have a high place in the world in the development of fundamental fields such as mathematics, physics, geometry, astronomy, and medicine. The development of sacred religion in Central Asia, great thinkers and statesmen played a great role in the development of Islam.

At the end of the meeting, the guests expressed sincere gratitude to the officials of the Academy for the high level of respect and hospitality.

After the official meeting, an international symposium was organized on the topic "Wisdoms from Islamic civilization in the development of the nation".
