Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Tourism Committee

During the visit of the President of our country to Kashkadarya region, it was noted that every region of our Republic has the potential to attract tourists in four seasons of the year, and for this purpose it is necessary to fully utilize the potential of tourist places.

October 31, the Tourism Committee and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation on tourism development, including promotion of pilgrimage tourism to a new level.

According to the memorandum, training of personnel in the field of pilgrimage tourism, establishment of organic ties with foreign specialists in this direction, realization of scientific and educational projects together with the specialists of the Committee, students of the Academy in the field of tourism will be implemented a number of projects on the development of maps and manuals.

It was also agreed to enrich the content of international electronic resources and create a base on the direction of pilgrimage tourism on the basis of cooperation.

During the meeting, it was announced that the International Islamic Academy has published a compendium of about 500 pilgrimage sites in Uzbekistan, and the Tourism Committee is engaged in promoting this compendium among economic entities in the tourism sector.
