A professor from Indiana University visited the Academy

The International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with Nazif Shahroni, Professor of Anthropology, Central Asia and the Middle East, Indiana University.

Zohidjon Islamov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation, opened the roundtable discussion organized by the International Cooperation Department of the Academy on "Some Comments on the Anthropology of the Qur'an". The event was attended by faculty, staff and young researchers of the Academy.

During the meeting, Nazif Shahrani stressed the need not only to study and memorize the Qur'an, but also to feel and understand it. He shared the rich experience he has gained over the years. In a meaningful conversation, the participants asked the scientist questions.

After the roundtable discussion, Nazif Shahroni reviewed the unique manuscripts in the "Treasure of Sources" section and said that he was impressed by these sources. He visited the holy shrines of the Academy - Sheykhovantahur, Tolabek (Kaldirgochbek) and Yunuskhan.
