Treasures of Uzbekistan in Oxford

Members of the delegation headed by the Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukholikov, visited the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies as part of the Cultural Heritage Week in Great Britain.

Farhan Nizami, Director of the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Ravshan Usmanov, Uygun Gafurov, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Shovosil Ziyadov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, Shovosil Ziyadov, Imam Termizi, at a meeting with representatives and scientists of the center. director of the international research center Muzaffarkhan Joniyev, Imam Moturidiy director of the international research center Jamoliddin Karimov and others took part.

Presentations were heard about the work being carried out in the preservation, study and popularization of cultural heritage in new Uzbekistan, about current scientific research, as well as about the active development of international cooperation in this regard.

During the dialogue, cooperation memoranda were signed between the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, international research centers and the Center for Islamic Studies in Oxford. An exhibition of books and albums published in recent years was organized as part of the event. 

At the end of the meeting, the rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Uygun Gafurov, presented the book "Renaissance Scholars' Book" and a souvenir to the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies.
