Scientific and research activities of the Academy
A total of 162 professors, including 1 academician, 26 doctors of Sciences, 97 candidates of Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), are working at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan in the volume of basic (internal seating) work, with a scientific potential of 76.5%.
In the cross section of faculties, the Faculty of Islamic studies – 84.4%, the Faculty of Islamic economics and international relations – 81.9% and the Faculty of Classical Oriental philology-68.2%. In the section of departments, the Department of psychology and pedagogy of religion - 94.7%, the UNESCO Department of Religious Studies and comparative studies of world religions - 92.3%, The Department of modern information and communication technologies-85.7%.
Nowadays a total of 68 doctoral students are operating.
There are 24 doctoral students in the 3rd year, 24 in the 2nd year, 20 in the 1st year, and 5 international basic doctoral students who are operating.
21 of them are employees of the organization operating in the religious and educational sphere and are being trained as personnel with targeted scientific potential.
More than 100 monographs have been published by the Faculty of the Academy.
The quarterly and special issues of “Islom ziyosi” and “Islom tafakkuri” are published regularly.
The Academy conducts international conferences and Republican scientific and practical conferences based on specialties and publishes collections.
For further improvement of the system of motivating talented students, wide involvement of them in active creative activities, support and appropriate awarding of talented students, wide promotion of the scientific and creative heritage of famous writers and thinkers, especially Mahmudhoja Behbudi, among students, in order to increase and encourage their interest in literature, as well as to effectively use the Alley of Writers established in Tashkent, a special scholarship named after “Mahmudhoja Behbudi” has been introduced from the 2020-2021 academic year.
Talented students of the Academy are winners of "Aloqabank" special scholarship, Talented students of the Academy are winners of special scholarship "Aloqabank", state scholarship, Islam Karimov state scholarship of the president, President of Uzbekistan grant scholarship and Imam al-Bukhari scholarship.
