PERSONNEL TRAINING AND SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION IN THE AREA OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AT A NEW STAGE

The friendly relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State of Malaysia are expanding in many areas, including in the field of competitive training and research in higher education.

An online video conference was held on April 23-d between the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari International Research Center and the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding.

At this online meeting, organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, the parties discussed the establishment and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and some specific aspects of the cooperation-based agreement.

Today, at 10:00 according to Tashkent time, the signing ceremony of the Agreement on International Cooperation on the basis of high-level meetings and dialogues took place online

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Uzbek Center for Islamic Civilization Shoazim Minovarov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center Shovosil Ziyodov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Mamadiev, Vice-Rector for Finance and Economy Akhrol Muminov, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and International Relations Ashurali Abdirashidov and Chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Studies Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, there also took part the  Director General, Professor Azizan Baharuddin, Director of the Center for Sharia, Law and Politics Mohd Farid Mohd Sharhan, Special Assistant Director General Mohd Nur Musa and finally His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov and First Secretary Shiroz Abdullayev.

Speaking at the online ceremony,  His Excellency Sh. Minovarov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, R. Usmanov,  His Excellency Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Malaysia and Ahmad Abdul Hamid, Chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding noted that the friendly relations between  two countries are developing steadily. It was mentioned as well that the  relations between the two countries to a new level.

Afterwards, His Excellency Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, and Bahromjon Mamadiev, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, spoke at the online meeting. It was recognized as important significance  in expanding the opportunities for cooperation.

At the end of the negotiations, an agreement on cooperation was signed online (electronically) between the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, the International Research Center named after Imam Bukhari and the Malaysian Institute for Islamic Understanding.

In fact, according to the agreement, currently, it exists  the training of high-potential, as well as the competitive specialists, regarding the effective and systematic exchange of historical and unique scientific sources and information (data) in higher and research centers, in order to  conduct a joint research, exchange of experience between the  professors, students, and specifically students of Master’s and Doctor’s levels. A consistent practical work is carried out on the exchange and implementation of internships.

It should be noted that the  friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia are steadily developing. In particular, the establishment of cooperation in the field of higher education and research will undoubtedly bring relations between the two countries to a new level.
