MOU signed to develop the tourism industry
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, which will contribute to bringing the tourism industry to a new level of development.
Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Rustam Kasimov, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov noted that the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to increase the tourism potential and the roadmap for further development of pilgrim tourism increase the need for highly qualified personnel in the industry.
It was noted that the issues of in-depth study of history, the rich national spiritual and enlightenment heritage of the country and ancestors, as well as advanced training of specialists in the sector based on new scientific research play an important role in development of tourism, including pilgrimage, which is very popular today.
At the event, views were exchanged on development of the tourism sector, a joint search for solutions to existing problems based on a scientific approach.
