Many-sided cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt are strengthening more and more. The initiatives and efforts being made by the leaders of the two countries Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Abdel Fattah al-Sisi are of important significance in raising the friendly relations to the new stage.
Now a delegation from Uzbekistan is in Egypt. The official delegation also includes the rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Yovkochev, lecturers and specialists.
The Delegation from our country started the work due to the “Road map” worked out on the bases of the Understanding Memorandum signed in Tashkent between famous all over the world “Al-Azhar” University functioning for more than one thousand years and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. According to it there was held a discussion on cooperative measures of the “Road map” planned for 2019 with the President of “Al-Azhar” University Muhammad Hussein Mahrasawi.
The same day at the Uzbekistan Embassy in Cairo there was organized a round table discussion and a press conference on implementation of the five priority areas of the development strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021, the issues of intensification and prospects of the many-sided cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt.
The Egyptian politicians, experts, scientists and journalists particularly noted the internal and foreign policy being carried out under the leadership of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, wide-ranging renewals and changes being observed in all spheres, magnificent successes being achieved in various directions. The Egyptians mentioned that historically the land of Uzbekistan brought up scholars who made a great contribution to the world and Islam civilization, and today the status of Uzbekistan is enhancing more and more.
